Scholarships For Teachers
Leon Said:
are there any college scholarships for teachers children? We Answered:
I'm a daughter of a teacher, and I'm a nursing major. I looked into the same scholarships, and they really don't have anything that's purely based on the "teacher's kid" criteria. If your daughter is an education major, then there are many scholarships that are available to her, whether you are a teacher or not. Many school districts and teacher's unions have scholarship programs for employee's children.Keep looking- there's got to be something out there!

What scholarships are available for teachers? We Answered:
I guess it depends on your state. Have you checked the FAFSA website (financial aid website). They will give you loans and grants regardless of your race. These are first come, first serve programs. If you're getting a bachelors, you will still be eligible for grants. However, graduate students will only have the option to take out loans.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, as a TEACHER (and education major), you can apply for loan forgiveness. Long story short, take out a loan for your education and the government will pay it back for you. If you are currently employed in a school system, ask your employer about programs where they will pay the cost of your education upfront.
Hope that helps!

Teachers scholarships in texas?We Answered:
If you're still in high school, get with your guidance counselor. UT can be expensive so you might look into a community college down there to get your basics out of the way for a cheaper price. If you're out of high school already, call the administration office at UT, or even go to their website. There are several sites out there that offer listings of scholarships- some which are what you're specifying here- you just have to check it out. Good luck, and great school choice! Are there any scholarships out there for teachers in California? We Answered:
Are you still in school? In your second sentence, you speak as if you are in school, but your 3rd sentence makes it seem like you're done with school.I'll go with the assumption you're still attending....
I learn about teacher scholarships through Fastweb, my school's teacher education department, and my professional music education organization.
Fastweb takes your info and searches scholarships available for you through your school, and many times those scholarships pop up.
Your education department at your school can help you with this also.
Are you a member of any professional organizations? If so, check their website. Many of them sponsor scholarships and students.
Lastly, you MUST read the fine print of the teacher scholarships. They have requirements and if you break them after you receive the scholarship, legal consequences may occur. Most teacher scholarships I have encountered require the recipient to teach in-state at a suburban school for 5 years after graduation.
