Scholarships For Women In Business

Leroy Said:

Do you think men not liking VAWA, affirmative action, women only scholarships...?

We Answered:

No. I'm a woman, and I'm not a fan of any of those either. I have nothing against women. I like women. I AM one.

But why isn't it the Violence Against PEOPLE Act? Why is violence worse when it's aimed at a woman?

And why do we need affirmative action to get hired? If our qualifications aren't good enough then we don't deserve the job.

And why do we need special women-only scholarships?

And why should we get approved for business loans more readily? Or get lighter sentences?

Gertrude Said:

How far do the rights of private clubs and businesses go? Can they legally be racist?

We Answered:

i agree with you....it isn't right b/c there are double standards.....those groups clubs etc should be eliminated.....discrimination causes so many problems but it seems to me that someone always has an excuse/double standard to blurt out...so yeah, i agree with you

Arlene Said:

Scholarships? What can I do to improve my chances? Any Idea?

We Answered:

You are missing one essential element to getting scholarships: good SAT scores. You are very young, and you have a lot of time to prepare. However many scholarships are awarded based on superb SAT scores. You will take the PSAT during your sophomore or/and junior year of high school. There is an award called the "National Merit Scholar" that is offered based on PSAT scores. They have a ton of test prep books at your local bookstore (B&N or Borders or whatever). Get yourself an SAT prep book and start studying when you have free time. I am an SAT prep instructor with The Princeton Review, so I am preferential to our materials. There are other companies who publish SAT prep books. Just take a look at the bookstore.

Bertha Said:

what non-chatholic women's colleges are there?

We Answered:

The Seven Sisters colleges are the most prestigious women's colleges in the nation, and all are tremendously queer-friendly. All are also tremendously well-endowed, and provide outstanding financial aid packages for students who qualify.

None of these colleges will have a business major, but all have psychology majors.

Barnard College
Bryn Mawr College
Mount Holyoke Colleges
Smith College
Wellesley College
(Vassar and Radcliffe used to be included, but Vassar went co-educational in 1969 and Radcliffe merged into Harvard.)

Other less-selective, but still respectable non-Catholic women's colleges include:
Agnes Scott College
Bay Path College
Cedar Crest College
Mary Baldwin College
Meredith College
Pine Manor College
Simmons College
Spelman College
Sweet Briar College
Wells College
Wesleyan College

Many colleges on the second list will be less queer-friendly. I strongly suggest you take a look at this book as well. It may be in your high school library -- or at least I hope it is.

I wish you every success!

Ana Said:

Why when men question why feminism is needed in the West...?

We Answered:

I just wanna add circumcision to your list.

Circumcision removes 85%? of the penile nerve sensations, yet it's illegal to remove even 1% of a females genital nerve endings.
