Sorry to hear of your predicament, I've been there before and it sucks for sure. But are you talking about grant $$ alone, or have you applied for student loans - on http://fafsa.ed.gov you may actually qualify if you haven't gone here yet to fill out a form.

Have you registered with Fastweb - which is a scholarship search website? It is a good site.

Talk to the financial aid advisors at your local universities or colleges, or wherever you wish to go. Many times they have the "in" on scholarships for people in your situation.

When I was looking for scholarships myself, I did find one that was for women over I think 35, with children at home . . . . . Unfortunately, for the life of me I cannot think of the name now though . . UGH! I missed the deadline by the time I found it - but I always thought that would've been the perfect scholarship for working women with children.

The scholarship is the Jeanette - something - foundation - - sorry, but that's all I can remember.
