In CA you may want to look into a calswec program (they provide tuition and a stipend) - it is a payback program - you get funding and then have to work in child welfare for as many years as you got funded (2 years you have to do 2 years - but then you have no debt).

If it is going to cost 40K it must be a private college (the UC's and CSU's are not that much) - so private schools have a lot of money.

Alternately you can use the financial aid office at the school they will have access to databases for scholarships - and can help you search.

You might want to look at a payback program such as title IVE, Mental Health, and Health Opportunities. Your school could best advise you if they participate in any of these. The federal government also just passed a pay-back program in certain high need areas and social work has just been included.

These options have the advantage of being more accessible. Scholarships for graduate school are much more limited than undergrad.

The financial aid office at the university will have a number of resources to track down scholarships you are elligible for. Be ware of internet scams and other services you pay for tracking down aid you might be able to apply for.

got to www.nmas.ac.uk they should be able to able. though i know the majority of Uk courses for nursing won't accept international students due to funding issues. Have no idea about social work.. try a search engine.
