Veteran Scholarships And Grants

Monica Said:

No scholarships for a single, white, Veteran, parent, employed full time!?

We Answered:

There are several scholarships for women and for veterans.
There are also basic academic scholarships. There are also plenty of scholarships for non-traditional students (bascially that is the verbage for older or parent).

You can go to your local college/univeristy. They will most likely have a Women's center & a Nontraditional Student center. They should have scholarship information for you.

Keep in mind too that some scholarships you don't have to meet the criteria, it is more of a lottery.

www.fastweb.com (probably the one you already used)

For the last two categories, it is usually per college. So go to the college website you are looking into attending and look at their college scholarships.

Hope this helps!

Greg Said:

Where is the best place to find scholarships and grants for OIF war veterans?

We Answered:

Check fastweb.com they have a huge database of scholarships. All you have to do is answer some questions and they will find the ones that match.

Leah Said:

my father was honorably discharged from service, granpa a veteran can i get college scholarships for that?

We Answered:

I'm not sure about other states, but the University of California has a scholarship available for veteran's dependents. There are so many scholarships out there. Keep searching and most likely you'll find one (or more) that you will qualify for.

Guy Said:

Are there any colleges grants/scholarships for veteran siblings.?

We Answered:

No, sorry. You won't recieve ones because your brother is a veteran specifically. There are indirect benefits for siblings like being able to give a first hand view when writing an essay on a veteran who inspired you but that's the closest you'll get. Direct family members and spouses are the ones who get those grants/scholarships.

Joseph Said:

Does anyone know of any scholarships, grants for veterans? And yes I've already went to my fin. aid office.?

We Answered:

In conjunction with the great sites Arsby provided, visit http://fastweb.com because it is the largest database of scholarships on the internet and provides many scholarships for veterans. Also, did you invest it the Montgomery GI Bill? If so then you could have about $40,000 for school.

In conjunction, if you wish to further your military career and want to go to college, think about the ROTC program offered by your previous, or a different branch and become an Officer, while getting a chance at ROTC scholarships.

Visit http://YourCollege101.com for a complete guide for all scholarships and grants, don't just limit yourself to only Veteran scholarships.
