Billy Said:

How would I set up a webcam to be viewed remotely (without the users knowledge)? [Feasibility study]?

We Answered:

theoretically if it is enabled (i believe it is by default) a flash video (ie a fake youtube) could be used to view a webcam. however they would need to be on the page with the video. Even a flash banner ad could do this. For an example of using flash to webcam, see HMSA online care at hmsa.com (the user is supposed to be aware on this one but it gives the idea.) Also a backdoor virus could be used. A modified rom or hidden startup program could be used covertly such as Phoenix FailSafe on the Lenovo x301

Bryan Said:

Was there sufficient funding for Collins to ensure the contract was persevered with ?

We Answered:

Doubtful funding was the problem. Government projects are very seldom underfunded; generally there is lack of oversight regarding the funds. Once vast amounts of money have been wasted there is a cry for more money because there is not enough money left for the project but that's only from lack of oversight. The problem grows larger when a private company works under a government contract. The company seeks to make a profit by squeezing out as much as it can but it still behaves like a government.

Feasibility study for tourism project?

We Answered:

I own and operate my own travel agency. Do a feasibility study on a particular area of tourism such as a vacation destination. For example, choose a Caribbean Cruise, snow ski vacation or even a European vacation. Choose the type of vacation that you have the most familiar with.

Do a lot of marketing research to develop a marketing plan. Do this expertly, you must study the demographics of tourist destination. Demographics are a population study that include age, race, gender and income level. You should study the demographics of who you think will be your potential customers and also a study of the destinations that your tourists will visit. For, example, who would be your customers on a Caribbean Cruise and what are the demographics of the islands that your cruise ship stops at.

Find a feasible "marketing plan and strategy!" This should include your advertising, marketing channels, the internet and promotion. This should include what marketing calls the 4P's (price, promotion, place and product/service) Especially, find a "market segment or market niche" that all your customers need that will include goods and services that you offer. A niche may be a subset of your market segment.

In addition, your feasibility study should include a "competitive advantage" which is the positive marketing position that you should have against your competition. In other words, it's something that offer and sell that your customer can't offer and will make a profit for your business. Your market segmentation and market niche should answer these questions for you.

stupid homework.. and urgent?

We Answered:

1) List out & Figure the initial cost - building and assets aquisition (telephone, cash register, credit card machine, computer).
2) List out & Figure the operating cost, light bill, gas, employee wages & taxes, lawyer, accountant, advertising, operating supplies/prodict inventory (flowers, wrapping paper, etc) by the month, multiply by 6 to 8 months.
3) List & Figure 30% over (more than) #2. - Cash Reserve
4) Project Sales/month - an average of x arrangements/day, y days/week at a average price of z. Be reasonable.
5) Project Profit/month (from 4) - subtract operating expenses per month.- again be reasonable - How much do you NEED to make to live until you get going good-this also
get subtracted.
6) From the remainder, you have to payback the loan(s) Note: Look at financing property over 15 or 30 years (at a lower rate with real property collateral), the business over 1, 3 or 5 years (higher rate).
7) Figure in a personal - cash contribtuion - how much money are you personally going to risk for this opportunity.
8) Determine your profitability Total 1, 2, 3, 4,5 ,6 & 8.
7 Put together a plan - what are you going to do to make your company worth the risk - past experience and exposure, already have account commitments, television advertising, location of store, other people who are backing you (financialy) etc - a story that sells
9) For a class, I would create a short - 5-7 slide power point presentation (Create A Business Name, Logo, use the logo on every page of the presentation). The presentation should stay positive, realisitic and 'anticipate' the unforseen - how are you going to deal withbe successful in a market with 7 million home foreclosures.
