The best preparation for an exam like these are years of study. Social Studies is a broad topic & not condensed into a guide.

I had an 'A' student in US History & American Government that bombed the social studies portion of the ACT. I looked into the matter & it turned out that all the social studies questions came from the Psychology area of social studies.

Review the social studies areas from good texts. Maybe look at & study social studies guides from other similar national tests.

Many of these study guides are written to make a quick "buck". Some of the bad reviews come from competitors.

Study Tips for Praxis: Middle School Math?

I did not know they had a separate PRAXIS for Middle School Math. I took the general Math PRAXIS and I teach high school math. I thought it was very simple, but my bachelors degree is in mathematics, so that might explain it.

If it's been a while since you had trigonometry and calculus, I would brush up on those. Also, the PRAXIS website has practice tests and practice questions you can take. If you can't find a full practice test online, call a local university education department. They should have some practice PRAXIS exams as well.

Good luck! Don't sweat it. It's really not very hard.
