No, black people aren't too poor to study or work abroad. A black woman from my church went to China to teach Chinese people English for a year. Last month, a girl from my church went to England to complete her internship.

People might assume blacks are poor due to stereotyping. But that isn't the case. There are tons of black people who are wealthy, middle class or working class and can afford to fly out of the country.

It is mainly people who are jealous of what blacks have accomplished and how we are living our lives that will spend the time to create these lies in order to hold us back. They are so obsessed with us.

However, despite their negative views of us, like Maya Angelou said, Still we rise.
