Study Effectively Exam

Leroy Said:

How can one study effectively, one day before the exam?

We Answered:

Don't try to cram new things in. Look over your notes and work on refreshing your knowledge: key quotes, concepts, structure...

Make concise, clear notes and keep looking back over them. Then do a quick read over in the morning.

how to study effectively for a licensure exam?

We Answered:

I used a study book (practice exam book) for the Praxis. This helped me focus on what I needed to study and what types of questions would be asked.

What are some times for study effectively before exams?

We Answered:

Well, study a little each night. And the night before the big exam, review everything quickly. It will be the freshest thing in your mind when you wake up

How do you effectively study for an Exam?

We Answered:

The best way to study for history i find is to make a time line.
So from say 1910-2009 make a marker for all the important dates.
so 1914-begining of WW1. making time lines always helped me in history.

I also tried to look at ways I can relate to the numbers any way I could. So going back to the WW1 example, it was 4 years long .. so is high school... i started high school at 14 and ended at 18 .. the war was from 1914-1918.

Make stories to go along with the dates.. sometimes just reading things over and over doesnt help, making up a story or a ryme or anything can really help.

How to effectively study for a science exam?

We Answered:

Yikes, I hated those.
It really depends on your strengths and weaknesses. My weakness is math so I would spend most of my time with the scientific equations. I was great at memorizing so I would spend less time on terminology. However in my biology class, let say we where studying bones, I would take a picture of the skeletal system and fill it in with out the book, then go back an correct errors, only spending an hour or so on this then move on to something else then come back later and try again.
I wouldn't spend more that 2 hours on any given subject at a time. You can over load and confuse your brain which needs time to process information, think of it like a computer in which needs to defrag after studying. Good luck.
