Help needed about studying in New Zealand.?

We Answered:

I think your chances of getting in are still good though I can't be sure. I friend of mine secured admission at the Lincoln University of New Zealand in spite of scoring 6 on the IELTS when the expected score was 6.5. Explain your situation to the university. Send them an e-mail or call them up. If they insist on an IELTS score then you may have to give it at the earliest. I think your recent results should satisfy them. All the best.

What are the main tourist attractions in Auckland and New Zealand?

We Answered:

For Auckland:
-Sky tower - you can look out the top of it, jump off it.. and walk along the outside of it. (i've jumped off.. its fun, but costly!)
-Rainbows end (if you like theme parks lol)
-Auckland zoo
-Go on a americas cup boat.. you even get to help drive it
-Jump off the Auckland harbour bridge and walk along it.. i think
-Kelly Tarlton's Antarctic centre

Though some options in or near by Auckland could be for more into the beauty of nz:
-The overlander train (goes from auckland to wellington vise versa) you'd get to see lots of the northisland that way.
-Rainforest walk
-Whale watching an dolphin swimming/watching.
-Great Barrier Island
-Bay of islands
-Waiheke island

Well if you take a like road trip down from Auckland.. South to near Hamilton.. theres the glow worm caves.
But further down is Rotorua and Taupo and there pretty nice.
There the main attractions in Rotorua & Taupo are:
-Going up the gondala
-Maori villages
-Geysers
-Mud pools
-Geothermals (can only see these in nz)
-Kiwi Encounter
-Huka falls
-Taupo bungey "the most scenic bungy site"
and if you really wanna get to see the most of the senary theres jet boats, horse rides and a cruises to see the best of it there.
then just below Taupo theres Mount Ruapahu which is good scenary and you can go skiing/snowboarding on it.
But i reckon the best beauty of nz is in the lower south island.
theres...
-The largest glacier in nz and others along the west coast
-Mt hutt (skiing, snowboarding)
-Bungey jump (43metres)
Good sight seeing there is down there is:
-Milford sound.. fiordland
and so much more.
Theres a bunch of jets, flights, helicopters, cruises and some horse trekks down there for seeing it.

Enjoy ur stay here!

Hi, can anyone help me with how to get admission to New zealand university and Its costs?

We Answered:

I would suggest you contact the New Zealand embassy in Tehran to get the information you need. They will be able to give you information on studying in New Zealand and will be able to give you a more accurate cost of living analysis.

What's the difference between all those university diplomas in New-Zealand and maybe Australia???

We Answered:

This is probably not quite the answer you're after, but I hope some of it helps-
I too have a Bachelor's in English, and I too am hoping to pursue grad school in New Zealand. A Master's (MA- for Master of Arts) is the degree which follows a Bachelor's (a MA is superior to a BA). In New Zealand, the MA can be obtained in as little as a year, depending on program and whether it is a taught or research degree (I'm a bit fuzzy on this concept-- it seems that a taught degree is more lecture oriented and takes less time whereas a research degree is more of an independent effort but may take approximately two years). A PhD is a doctoral degree (a Doctor of Philosophy) and would be the degree awarded after a MA (though an MA is not necessarily prerequisite). PhD is a doctorate degree, but specifically refers to one who has a degree in the humanities (as opposed to a Medical Doctorate --MD-- for a doctoral degree in medicine). Certificates imply completion of a given study, but do not carry the same authority as a degree. They may be more useful for those who either return for additional studies --those who may already hold a postgraduate degree such as an MA or a PhD-- or for those who do not require a full degree. I apologize if this information regarding certificates is at all inaccurate, as it is not something with which I would consider myself extremely familiar. I base this off only my general understanding of the postgraduate degree structure.
I wish you the best of luck in your application to the University of Auckland-- perhaps we'll see each other there someday!

Info about University in New Zealand?

We Answered:

Wow, it is quite tricky. You do need study permit to study in NZ.

It generally cost around NZD$20,000-$30,000 per year depending on the course for a international student not including living cost.

I do think you need to be of certain minimum income to be granted country entry to study, however I am not quite sure.

Hope it helps :)

What are the New Zealand qualifications?

We Answered:

I guess it would depend on what job you were after?

Maybe try posting this in the NEW ZEALAND section as NZ and Australia are two separate countries
