Studying English in UK: how many weeks? We Answered:
You already express yourself clearly in English, so polishing up your English shouldn't take too long. Inevitably the length of time will depend on the quality of the course and of the teachers, so exact figures are hard to determine. I have deliberately used some long words and a colloquial expression, so if you understand all that I have written you are well on the way to good comprehension of English.Caroline Said:
What are the best places to study English Literature in the UK?We Answered:
I don't know, but I know in my third year of uni, loads of people were studying English Literature. I went to the University of Salford. I don't know how good the organisation is though - on my course (BA Media and Performance) it was and still is extremely poor. However, the support systems are good for if you have personal or other problems, there are 24-hour computers in Maxwell Building, and the non-blonde students, and the staff, are generally very friendly.

What do you think about foreigners going there in the UK to study English? We Answered:
Eikaiwa benkyou no tame ni Igirisu he kite kudasai! (Nihonjin kana to omotta kedo...)I'd say it's a good idea, but just because you come to the UK doesn't mean you will become fluent- you have to work at it too, be brave, make native English friends and acquaintances... oh, and study! I think it's easy to become depressed when you're far away from home, and that can get in the way of learning. Also, it can be easy to get into a group of friends from your own country and not study hard enough...
On the whole though, I would thoroughly recommend it. You get a lot of chances to hear, speak, and read English than you would in you own country, and you'll also get to learn a lot about English culture- this can be almost as important for language learning as learning grammar and vocabularly... almost...
