Study English Speaking

Herbert Said:

Are there any english speaking universities in Geneva to study architecture ?

We Answered:

No, and there are no French-speaking universities in the US where one can study architecture.

Caroline Said:

which book should i study for making english speaking strong?

We Answered:

You probably will not learn much about speaking by studying it in a book. First, improving your "speaking English" can mean two different things. If what you want to do is to learn how to give formal speeches in front of an audience, the best way to do that is to take classes in speech communication. If English is not your native language and what you want to do is to practice so that you are more fluent, pronounce words more accurately, and feel more comfortable using the language in public, then you need practice in "speaking and listening," two of the major skills in any second language. You can handle it by trying to learn from tapes or CD's, which offer mostly repetition. You can ask friends to help you practice and hope that they actually know something about how to explain English to you and give you practice in the right things. Or you can look into studying in a class, where the instructor is trained to handle your problem.

Study abroad in a English speaking country.?

We Answered:

The best way to study abroad is to enroll in a university at home and then apply for an exchange. You pay the fees to YOUR university, not the one you will be attending for a semester or two, and often government grants are available to you. For example, the government will give you $1000/month abroad to help you get by. If you find a roommate, you will have more than enough spending money for food and a few outings on top of money you save up ahead of time. Done this way, you can go to almost any country you think you'd like regardless of how much money you have.

Vera Said:

Did you study abroad in a non-english speaking country?

We Answered:

Generally you do not take upper level courses unless you are able to complete a competency exam in French given on the first day for new students. That test decides which classes you can take. The test l took was an hour long dictation that was graded on the spot. When l went they recommended we keep to classes regarding language, literature & culture & save the other stuff for our home campus. College classes are taught different then in the US. Often the only exam you take is the final, which is pass or bust. Some programs include english taught classes for exchange students. Have fun.

p.s. If your going to Paris, your gonna love it.

We Answered:

look into samana they speak english more than spanish also a lot of new york-ens in Lucerna city santo domingo if you wanna hang out

Tom Said:

Which languaje is the most studied by English-speaking people?

We Answered:

It depends. A lot of these answerers are from America, where indeed Spanish is the most useful language for them to learn; whereas in my opinion Chinese or Arabic is more useful.

But the most studied-- More and more people are learning Japanese to understand the car manuals, videogames, and manga tv shows. Chinese is similarly popular amongst those who want to be able to communicate with a quarter of the world's population.

But the most spoken languages bar English are probably Spanish, French, Chinese and Arabic.
