Or take a course at a Goethe Institut. I would recommend picking a small town, rather than a big city, if you don't have any prior knowledge in German. Trust me.

Your chances to study medicine in Germany with a B1 level are minimal to nil. I did it myself, I therefore should know. And I am fluent in German, being Swiss...Allison Said:

The best idea is to take part in a German language immersion program ("Sprachreisen").Here are some suggestions for summer programs in Germany designed for teenagers like you:

I'm from Germany and I think it's awesome that you are interested in my homeland and learning the language. I really hope that your Dad will support you in your efforts. Good luck!

is the medical education free in germany and is it necessary to study german language? We Answered:
Half a year of intensive language studies in your home country, and half a year to 12 months in Germany itself are usually enough. For +2 school leavers there are special pre-degree "bridge" programmes.Dr Chris G Kiem

what is the best city in Germany to learn German Language for foreigners? We Answered:
It depends on what you're looking for. The southern "states" have a very different dialect than the rest, but even the others sound quite different from each other. I personally think going to Hamburg or Berlin would be your best bet. I may be a bit biased, but I grew up with Hamburg German, and I find it more adaptable than the other dialects.Dustin Said:
Studying German in Germany?We Answered:
Yes, it is possible to study German in Germany, although before you study at a university you will have to show that you are at least moderately proficient in German. For most universities that means you have to have majored in German in college or have a certificate from a recognized institution like the Goethe Institute. If you have time and some extra money, you could come over to German a year before you'd like to start studying and take intensive classes at a Goethe Institute. There are also Goethe Institutes in major US cities, but then you don't get the contact with German outside of class. Once you have your certificate (I believe most universities accept either the Kleine Deutsche Sprachdiplom or the Große, but make sure to check with the universities you're interested in), then you can apply. And of course it's possible to also study French and/or Spanish.
Good luck!
