Study Graphic Design
Peter Said:
Graphic design issue?Do all colleges require portfolio in order to be allowed to study Graphic design? We Answered:
Colleges are, ethically and morally at least, required to be reasonably sure that their students are capable of completing the course before taking their money – if you cannot demonstrate some aptitude or knowledge then they would be wasting your time and money and denying a place to a better qualified student.Your portfolio, at this stage, needn’t be extensive or highly-polished but it does need to show some ability and commitment. Very few students will have actual experience of graphic design at entry level.
Now is the time to start putting a portfolio together – get drawing, understand what graphic design is, take photos, learn about typography, study the work of some famous designers etc, etc.
