Study In Europe

Kathy Said:

I want to study in Europe for college, are there scholarships that will support me?

We Answered:

It will be difficult for you to go to another country and find a scholarship. You should go through your college/university and find out if they have a partnership with a university in Europe. If you are looking to maximize your experience in your study abroad program research schools that have programs that have a language requirement, or a program that is fully integrated with European students. There are government scholarships that are available but some are merit or financial based. Take a look at the webiste below and find out if you qualify. I hope this helps and Good Luck!

Is it ok to come and study in europe with the current financial crisis?

We Answered:

There aren't "loads of jobs" accommodation is fairly cheap however bills go up as does the cost of living. See if you can find someone through friends who has already been to set you up with potential jobs maybe? because you may have a shock when you get here to find that what jobs there are only pay a little..

Just to add that student accommodation isn't £90 - £100 a week it's usually £45 - £50 Also students can work as many hours as they like there is no limit like the person below me is telling you, and students don't pay tax on what they earn, besides your student loan and grants help. Also see what grades you need you don't need to be a brain surgeon to get in most of them.

As for crime, it's no worse than anywhere else in the world, like anywhere it has good places and bad places.

Can graduate students do research and study in europe?

We Answered:

You need to speak to the Bio dept. head asap, and anyone else you know/are friendly with in the dept. Grant-funded positions go fast and securing one is a very competitive and stressful process.…

The above website is a great place to start looking...but again, you should speak to someone at CU as soon as you can because these things take time.

Good luck to you, I hope this has helped.

Martin Said:

What is the average cost (in dollars) to study in Europe?

We Answered:

It seriously does differ at every single place of study!
The UK works with pounds and the rest of the EU works with Euros so the exchange rate differs there too.
Most Universities in the UK charge about 3,500 pounds per year on fees alone but foreign students often have to pay waay more to study there.
The best thing you can do is look at the available universities, meaning what you want to study and whether or not they teach it and send them an email, they often have pages for foreign students to visit.
The post office website will give you the current exchange rate if you wish to work out the cost.
Good Luck! x
