Mike Said:

Why does nobody out there know that it is not a legal requirement to study Law in order to call yourself a Law

We Answered:

You have to pass the bar exam! You do not have to study to be a Doctor, just pass the medical revue board tests

Glenda Said:

Can you study law in the UK and practice in Australia or America?

We Answered:

No, you can't even study law in England and practice in Scotland.

Sara Said:

What are the best universities to attend in the uk to study law?

We Answered:

To my knowledge, there is only one highly specialised university in the UK offering an LLB programme and that is "BPP University College" in London.

BPP Law School offers a 3-year or a 2-year (accelerated) LLB courses.

Look at the BPP's prospectus (I attach a link below), especially starting with page 18, which gives you all the information about the University's Undergraduate Programmes (LLB):

Jerry Said:

what would be the best uni in the UK to study law?

We Answered:

Look at the Times and Guardian rankings. Then go to the web sites of the different universities that rank highly, and see what their entrance requirements are. Most universities list their standard grades offers on their department web sites. Most of the best ones will require 3 A's or 2 A's and a B.

Anthony Said:

What do I need to do to study Law in the UK?

We Answered:

There is no requirements as to what subjects you have to do if you would like to study law. (Unlike medicine, chemistry is a "must" subject.)
It is a misconception to think that you must do subjects like English or history for A-levels if you would like to study law in university. It would definitely help if you do English because law involves mainly reading and writing. Nevertheless, it is also important to be able to analyse logically and evaluate critically. These can be developed through the studies of science subjects. More importantly, you should choose subjects which you enjoy for your A-levels and try hard to achieve top grades. (Note that subjects like theatre studies, media studies, business studies...are not favoured by top universities.)

Law is a tough course and requirements are usually quite high. AAA is the usual offer for universities like Cambridge, Oxford, LSE and UCL.

Apart from A level results, Cambridge and Oxford also consider the candidate's interview performance, reference from school, LNAT (law national admission test) and also a bit on ur extra stuff.

Good luck! Hope the above info is useful for you!!

Pauline Said:

what opportunities do i have with a UK law degree to find a job in austria?

We Answered:

i'm sure that some companies could put your specialised knowledge of british law to very good use; i don't know, however, how easy it would be to find these. generally speaking, it can never hurt to have a degree in austria, many people are quite old-fashioned about professional titles (dr., m.a. or whatever) and in general with a degree your chances to find a job are a lot better than without one, even more so than in other countries.
that said, can you speak german? if you want to boost your chances of finding a job here, i would work on my german, if only to be able to master it to a certain level, say, for having routine conversations with people, and to show you're taking an interest in local culture. also, many employers see it as a prerequisite to speak at least a bit of german. don't stress over this too much, though, in everyday life you can survive very well with english.

Tracey Said:

Can a UK law student study a PhD in Canada?

We Answered:

I would check with the University you wish to get your Ph D at - but the answer at any school should be yes.

Good Luck!!!
