Will a law degree ever make me finding a job with the Secret Service or FBI any easier? what are my chances?

We Answered:

Criminal Justice might be better, and military service (military intelligence or military police) would probably help a lot too. Good Luck!

Victor Said:

Is it possible to get a job after online law school?

We Answered:

Difficult to get a job no matter what law school you go to. Top firms requre grad from Harvard etc. Many other rated firms require degree from ABA accreditation school.
Not all firms require ABA accreditation though- try small firms, plaintiff firms or if bilingual, areas of practice primarily associated with the additional language you speak, ie immigration.

Sherri Said:

My friend wants to take some law classes but doesnt know where in Indiana.?

We Answered:

No law schools admit casual students and no law schools admit those without a BA degree. However, most universities will offer some basic undergraduate law classes, to learn some general principles.

Law School in Europe?

We Answered:

Why do you want to study law in the UK? Do you hope to practice there, or to practice international law (esp. that dealing with the EC/EU)? If so, then it makes sense. But if you hope to practice in the US, or practice US-based law, then it would be easier for you to do that by studying law in the US. You could certainly get your LLM afterwards in England, or do a program through your US law school such as a law-related study abroad program or an international internship. So think about your goals before you decide.

Yes, law in the UK is usually an undergraduate degree, the rough equivalent, at its end, to the US JD. There are some universities that have courses designed for people whose first degree isn't law, to help them become a lawyer. You'd do a CPE course to make the transition. I'll link to a list of unis providing such courses, below. As in the US, your chances of employment upon graduation do, in part, depend on the reputation of your program and your own experiences/performance. And of course, as a US citizen, you'd need to deal with the whole work visa thing.

If you went to law school in the UK with a plan of practicing in the US, you'd likely need to either come back and take an LLM from a US law school and then take the bar exams for the states where you want to practice in order to become qualified to practice law in the US, or you'd need to take the bar exam in a state (like NY) which allows foreign trained lawyers to do this without a US law degree, and then practice in that state. So there could be additional hurdles.
