Well, if you want to review and do some questions for high school physics, I would recommend 'Physics, The Easy Way' which is available for free at your local library, assuming you've got a library card. Another great book is 'Physics for the Utterly Confused' - I myself have used it and found it a great help.

Maybe what you described helped, but there's also a good chance the teacher showed interest in your because you showed some sign of having promise.

There's also the chance she showed similar interest in other students, but we sometimes don't notice other people's getting attention because it isn't us.

There's also the chance you have a personality or demeanor that kind of invited that type of interest.
