Asvab Study Guide Book

Lena Said:

Whats the best asvab study book?

We Answered:

There is no "BEST" study material. I do however recommend you get the latest editions. (You don't want to study old questions).

I also recommend you get the books from your local library, you're going to throw these away in the future.

Bobby Said:

Is it okay to study off this old ASVAB book?

We Answered:

Dude, relax. :) As far as I know, math and english haven't changed since 1988. So I would say that book is as good as any book to study from. If you want to look at/ study more books, then go ahead. Asvab for Dummies is a great learning tool.

The only thing that will keep you out of the Air Force right now are any criminal records. Or if you have a disqualifing medical condition. They DO grant medical waivers, depending on the condition, because I just had a medical waiver approved, but they do NOT grant any moral/drug waivers as of right now. So if you don't have any of those, then you're good.

Just try and get the best possible score on the ASVAB. Right now, because recruiting numbers are high, you have to score a 50 minimum on the ASVAB, which isn't hard. Just do your best. And find a recruiter and talk to him/her.

Whats the best asvab book to study off?

We Answered:

if your going to study for the asvab you should take more than just a week. most of the questions are just general knowledge base questions 12th grade level, but if you do poorly on it it will determine the next 4 years of your carrier or however long you enlisted for. as far as getting a study guide go to a book store like Borders they sell a bunch of them.

Herbert Said:

ASVAB study guide helps?

We Answered:

Well, it's certainly not going to hurt but I'm not sure how much it's going to help. The ASVAB is really easy, and the questions are pretty random and knowledge-specific (you would've had to be taught the information to know it for most the sections), so study guides most likely aren't going to do much for you.

Since you already ordered it, I would plan on practicing so you're prepared for the format, but don't spend too much time on it.
Good luck!
