Funding for a PGCE (Postgraduate Certificate of Education) in the UK?We Answered:
PGCEs are different they are classed as exception courses and you can get funding, you can get maintenance loan, tuition fee loan and maintenance grant if you are eligable. You will have to apply through student finance england and fill in a PN1 form as you will be classed as a new student.Laura Said:
Can part-time postgraduate students get funding for their studies? We Answered:
It depends on the uni, contact the uni and ask.At my uni they have a fee waiver scheme for part time post grad students so therefore the uni pay my fees but it depends on certain criteria such as how much you earn, they hav now limited it to only paying for 80 credits but that is the majority of my fees.
There is also something called a ESF (european Social Fund) I think that gives you a grant and pays your fees but I think that may only be available to full time students.
The best thing to do is contact the uni finance office directly as each uni is different in offering financial help.
There are also hardship fund available but once again they depend on your income and circumstances.
