I'm a Senor in high school I recommend you take notes, always be prepared, don't miss any school if possible and try and stay with a good crowd. Ive seen a bunch of really good students go down when they started drinking and smoking. Having fun isn't bad but don't let it run your life, be smart.

As a teacher myself, the best way to help us is not to tell us how to change, but what we're doing that works best.

I have to ask are you not doing your homework at home because you are too busy doing other things like chores or the such or are you simply having a procrastination problem? Sooner or later you will be caught out copying a friend's homework so it seems like you want to stop this procrastination and not put off dealing with homework at home.
do you have a proper study area at home? the kitchen table is often not a good place for homework as their is too much distraction around you. a good study area will be away from unnecessary noise from TVs, stereos, computer games and other people. Perhaps doing a little of your homework then rewarding yourself with a study break where you can have something to eat, watch a little TV... whatever might help you set a routine. Perhaps if you study for 1 hour, then give yourself a 15 minute break, then return to study, then another break will help. You have to show dedication though as this is the key to breaking procrastination. Try to get your family to help you to keep focused by not interrupting you or making unnecessary noise around you.
Give yourself a big reward at the end of each month. that way you have something to work towards and you will also feel better because you have made that achievement in order to get the reward.
This worked for me and I was a chronic non-homework student. I surprised everyone when I turned myself around... teachers, my parents and most importantly myself.
