To be fair, you shouldn't study on the day before the exam. For me, I found it easier to study when I was depressed, I just wanted to work all day, avoid social life and did not want to be disturbed.
If something really unfortunate happen on the day before your exam, I think your school/college will take that into consideration and let you resit your exam on a later date.
