Improve Your Grades

Theodore Said:

how to you improve your grades and study habits at school?

We Answered:

People do different things- some work for them, others dont. I myself study in a quiet place like a study room at the local library or my car or the beach in the morning/evening. But all the same, some like noise- if thats you study next to a radio etc. Just make sure you dont have distractions like a tv or electronics nearby. Ask for help as well, and consider a tutor if that would help. I dont study with a group- we never get stuff done but some think that helps too.

Does sitting in the front of a class at school improve your grades, is there a reason for this?

We Answered:

Absolutely! You can hear what the teacher is saying. You can see the board or screen. You will not be allowed to talk with other students, sleep in class or play with an electronic device. Ask for a front seat!
Question. Why are you going to school? If it is to learn and acquire economically usable skills you need to use any 'tricks' or such available. I never had students sleep in the front row. The teacher will begin to know you...it may help with subjective grading if you project the right impressions. Learn to look interested, look at the teacher and ask questions. Learn how to take notes.

Ivan Said:

Any tips on how to improve your grades and become a better student?

We Answered:

Hey, how are you!!?!? I'm in high school, too (Sophomore) so I can understand where you're coming from. The key thing that you should ultimately keep in mind are your priorities. Constantly ask yourself what is most important. Also, stay focused primarily on your schoolwork. Don't get too caught up in the drama and gossip that constantly comes up and does nothing but distract you.
Last but not least...do NOT overwhelm yourself! Be aware of the difference between putting forth a great effort and overworking yourself. Take a break in between those lengthy and complicated projects that teachers love to assign you!
