Study At Home For Free

Leroy Said:

does anyone know where a free pretest or study guide for GED is available to print and practice at home?

We Answered:

You can usually check out a study guide at your local library.

Tonya Said:

is there any way of studying for a degree at home for free?

We Answered:

Hello
As some other answers suggest, financial support to complete a degree with The Open University is available if you earn less than £15,700 per year (2007 figures). Partial financial assistance is possible even if you earn up to £30,000 per year. Fees are paid on a course by course basis as a grant (no student loan repayments) and, for young students, parental income is disregarded. For detailed information see http://www3.open.ac.uk/courses/about/p6_… it may be helpful to use the ready reckoner to check your entitlement to assistance.

To find out if The Open University has courses/qualifications of interest to you, have a look at http://www3.open.ac.uk/courses/bin/p12.d…
http://www.open.ac.uk/you/ is aimed at young students and provides information on courses and qualifications, earn and learn opportunities, funding and careers advice, for example.

UCAS is the usual application route to conventional university; the following site, http://ucas.com/students/coursesearch/, provides information on available degree courses. Check if your local university provides courses and qualifications of interest and if so, ask if there are any funding opportunities available for your area of study. This may offer another alternative that enables you to study at home. http://www.ucas.com/students/maturestude… will give you information on some alternative options to full-time study.

http://unimoney.direct.gov.uk/financial-… and http://www.direct.gov.uk/en/EducationAnd… provide an overview of financial support available for students in England. You haven’t said where you live but this site has links to relevant funding information for Northern Ireland, Scotland, Wales and EU countries.

I hope this helps you find a suitable option to pursue your degree studies.

Can you download powerpoint 2004 for free at home?

We Answered:

You could download the powerpoint viewer for free, which comes useful when you don't have the program but have a powerpoint file to open. As for the original program, you won't find it for free online unless you download the ones on file shared sites.

Yolanda Said:

can i study when im at home, is there any school that offers online studying?

We Answered:

You sure can study online! Whether you are at the high school or college level, there are lots of online programs of study. At the high school level, check out http://www.govhs.org/ OR look up "virtual high schools" for your particular state.

If you are looking into college level studies, check out http://www.earnmydegree.com/landing3.cfm…
OR http://www.petersons.com/
OR http://www.elearners.com/online-degrees/…

I think it's terrific you want to study "even if [you're] at home"! Best of luck with finding a job, as well as finding a suitable online program.

If you have depression and you aren't able to study in a college, can you study at home?

We Answered:

You can. Just contact your local college or search online. You should find something. But to be honest, you'd do best going to college and not let the depression get the better of you. As hard as it is - just think positive and think what you will achieve. But yes, there are courses where you can study at home and get qualifications.

There is the home learning college. I don't know much about it, but this is the link: http://www.homelearningcollege.com/

Edit: I know how you feel. Honestly, staying at home won't help you. You need to do small things at first and build up til you feel comfortable elsewhere. Getting qualifications is a good start though
