Study At Home

Sherri Said:

Better to study at home or at a library in college?

We Answered:

Personally I prefer to study in the library. At my university the top floors of the library are reserved for quiet study, so you have to be quite there. At home, my family can cause distractions even though they don't realize it.

If your house is quiet enough and you make your family understand that they need to leave you alone while you study, you can study at home no problem. One thing I do alot when I study at home is put on a pair of noise-cancelling over the ear headphones with jazz or ambient music turned way down low.

Irma Said:

Can you study at home to be a medical biller?

We Answered:

You're much better off selling yourself to a small practice as a trainee. Online programs will be too expensive, & most likely, of only limited value.

Andrew Said:

How come I can study at the library? But not home?

We Answered:

I studied at libraries because they are conducive to learning. You have the books and research materials there. There could be students there that are in your class and you can study together.

I would spend hours there, get to the library on campus in the morning and leave when it is dark. I got all my homework done there without disruptions. No TV's, or things that take away your attention.

So, that is why you do better at school and not at home.

Do you do all your study at home with national extension college?

We Answered:

I'm doing four of my GCSEs with the National Extension College (NEC), but not all of them. I'm doing these with NEC:
-English Language
-Maths
-Physics
-Chemistry

The English Language and the Maths are brilliant with the NEC. They explain everything in detail. But the Physics and Chemistry, on the other hand, aren't really that good. The explanations are short, and the whole thing is just quite boring and uninteresting.

Anne Said:

Are you in any Bible study home group or in group at your church?

We Answered:

Dear Nina,

Yes, I attend my church's Wednesday night Bible study. Currently we are simply looking at questions that arise from the sermon series the pastor is doing on Acts.

On my own I read The Daily Walk Bible through the year. This morning I read Zephaniah.

I'm also very excited to tell you that on Monday of this week I began reading the Bible with a young college sophomore in my church. She will be transferring from the local state university to a Christian college next year and she is eager to read the whole Bible before then. When I asked my pastor to pray for us he told me that he would like his teen aged daughter to read with us. Then I asked another college sophomore if she would like to join us and she said yes.

For His glory,
JOYfilled

Anyone has any tips on how to study at home?

We Answered:

1) You must afford to buy better books for your studies.

2) Very important, you must know what are current and future functions (if any) for everything you have studied from your school books and reference book.

3) You must dare to ask from friends and teachers for any unclear things in your books.

4) Make some simplest summaries for what you have studied in your books.

5) Think about what you want to do in future with what you have studied from the books.

6) Buy some good dictionaries for different languages like english and your own languages, etc and different fields like law and engineering, etc to find out the meanings for everything you are not understand about it's meaning.

Good luck!
