Study English Grammar

Yolanda Said:

How can i study English grammar become good?

We Answered:

I agree, read newspapers and books (non-fiction and fiction). If you learn to diagram your sentences (don't know if they teach that anymore), you will learn and retain the information about grammar more easily. Ask your English teacher to explain diagramming to you.

Brett Said:

How do you study English? You study fast or take your times?

We Answered:

Everyone's learning habits are different and if learning slower is working for you, then keep on doing that. I am only 12 and I came to Canada 5 years ago. I didn't know how to speak English. Then I started playing with kids around the neighborhood and I learned English that way. I was forced to learn English in order to communicate with others and my surrounding helped me learn English. So you should surround yourself with people who speak English.

Also, your question has some grammar mistakes.
How do you study English? Do you study fast or take your time?
I have noticed that if I study English or any other language, the slower I study, the more I learn.
Tell me if I am studying correctly.
Thank you.

Gene Said:

how to study/review english grammar effectively?

We Answered:

Though it is an extremely long and tedious process learning English grammar, esp the parts of speech, it would be practical to start with nouns, pronouns, verbs, tenses and adjectives. Once you can construct simple sentences, then you may go on to more complex ones using conjunctions, adverbs, etc. Do lots of slow reading everyday and identify the various parts of speech. Get someone to guide you along so you may progress 3 times faster. At the same time, do not neglect your spelling of words and also building up your vocabulary at intermediate, then advanced level. Good luck on your journey!

Tracy Said:

How do you motivate yourself to study English grammar?

We Answered:

I never do, sorry. I'm Mexican myself and I also find it boring. Unless I really, REALLY have to study, I don't. You're not alone ^_^

Katie Said:

What school would I attend in order to study English grammar?

We Answered:

Grammar is a major part of any language. There are no grammar classes per se. So you would major in English plus additional courses in copyediting.
