There's an American Community College in Singapore offering Associate Degree which also provides a six month ESL course. You may be able to teach there while taking courses relevant to your goals and providing opportunity to investigate other options.

I don't think it is compulsory to learn these languages..

But if you are interested to learn,Mandarin comes 1st as majority of Singaporean are Chinese.Do keep in mind though that not all Chinese can speak mandarin.

Malay is more used between the commoners.Indian,Chinese and Malays mostly communicate in Malay between each other.

Make sure before you say anything the know that you really need them to listen...and speak respectfully don't raise your voice. tell them the truth...tell them what you want to do in school and what your plans are.
