EDIT: If you're travelling on a US passport, and are going to France for only 90 days, and will then go straight home, you do not need a visa. As a US citizen you have automatic entry to the Schengen Zone for 90 days out of every 180 days.

However, if you intend to travel to any other European country before or after your studies, then you will need to look into the visa situation.

I am sorry but there are few if any people frequenting this website that would be able to support anyone financially to come to France and study there. Appeal like yours appear regularly without any success.
France does offer some scholarships, but there are a number of conditions to be fulfilled, and you would have to raise the money to get there yourself. Your best course is to find a way of learning French where you are, then apply to study in France. There must be ways to learn French in Addis Ababa, even if it means studying with an unqualified person who would volunteer to help you.

If you want to study at a University in Paris you need French. The only other way is some International University in Paris which offers courses in English. These course are mostly MBA courses etc. It a pity they don't encourage foreign languages in schools in the UK like the rest of Europe.
