A big desk where you can spread out and leave your things if you need to. It's not uncommon to have a couple of books out and open at the same time. Make sure there is plenty of room for your computer next to the books. It's also easiest if the printer is in the same room.

Make sure you stay organized. I have a bookshelf for my books, plenty of extra folders, markers, highlighters, pens, paperclips,... I make sure i don't have to run out if I need something.

Try an armoir for storage of clothing, since there is no closet. I would also suggest getting a "platform" bed with drawers under it for additional storage. Both of these items come in a variety of styles and sizes to accomodate the small space.

I would use mirrors on one wall, they can be found at most stores such as Home Depot, come in a variety of styles and sizes and are easy to install. Using mirrors gives the room the "feel" of being much larger than it is.

I would also use "floating" shelves to hold decorative items, books etc. There are shelving units available to hold tv's and stero equipment as well. The more that you put on the wall, the "larger" the room will feel.

Baskets come in many styles and sizes as well, get some with lids, that can also be used to store items in. They can double as end tables, or seating, or a foot rest.

I know you and your daughter will have a wonderfull time decorating her room, have fun!!!!!!!!!!!

I would try using a wood cleaner like pledge or there is another cleaner by sc&johnson-one step no buff wax it's a fine floor care but it's good for any type of wood. Well I hpoe it was good advice Good Luck!

Maybe Interior Design? But you'd have to check out different schools and see what they offer in regards to classes. Not every school is the same ... also you could do a tech vocational school thing - like go to school to be a carpenter or something.
