Study Habit Tips

Ramona Said:

I'm have an extremely bad study habit i need study tips.?

We Answered:

1. outlines / taking notes in class
2. study before doing anything elce (ex. hanging out with friends)
3. break it up over a few days before the test.
4. write down on a sheet of paper what you neeed to know. then as each day professes cross off the paper what you know. then by the day of the test you should have information that would just fit on a notecard.
5. learn what type of learner you are (ex. visual, auditory or tactile kenistetic(touching and handling things)) i personally am an auditory learner so saying things out loud helps me.

there on online quizes to help you determine what your learning style is! or you could just try all three and see what works the best for your brain :)

good luck

Sherry Said:

What are some of your study habits/tips?

We Answered:

Well...

I procrastinate until the very last possible minute. As in, the test is in an hour and I have yet to study.
If you were looking for tips, I am the wrong person to go ask :(

I might be a lazy bum, but I'm brilliant when it comes to tests. Call it luck/skill/ whatever...it works and that's all that counts. At least I can afford to be lazy.

What are your study habits and memorization tips? Does listening to Mozart help absorb the information?

We Answered:

i just highlight what i need to know, then i ask myself questions on the material. And no mozart would definetly not help me with that lol.

All the answers here are great and I recommend you try them out.

Another thing you should consider is finding a friend, classmate, parents or anyone to study with. You could both test each other. Or you could make a game like playing who wants to be millionaire using the stuff you need to study. I find this fun. If you cannot find anyone, than use index cards and test yourself.

If you don't understand something, such as math, You could try youtube.com. Just type in the subject and there will actually be teachers/people who videotaped themselves teaching that subject. This could help. Also consider getting tutor by the teacher which shows the teacher you are trying and can earn you some extra credit or what i call "Browny points" lol.

Finally, tell your parents to stop arguing with each other. You don't need any more distractions and stress. They must unite and support you as much as possible. Ask them to help you study.

Can anyone help me with study habit tips?

We Answered:

You know how you get songs stuck in your head and memorize song lyrics so easily? The same concept can be applied to studying. Record your definitions and play them back while doing regular things. It will be even more effictive to include some catchy tune or make them into a rap or something. You don't have to use the whole definition. Use the part that stands out that will make you connect it to the question.

does anybody know any good study tips/ habits?

We Answered:

I will let you know w hat worked for me and I have gotten all As with this method.

I looked at the assignemnt sheet. You know the one teacher gives at the beginning of school year. I read the chapter (s)before coming to class and made notes. I underlined the topic my instructor spent the most time on. Then I went and read the chapter again, but this time carefully. I underlined or put a start next to to a topic dicussed by our instructor.

I also study a week before the test. Thsi way I didn't cramm a day before the test.
I also did my homework. If I didn't know anything, Iwent to the teacher andasked for clarification. If I got something wrong in the test, I went to the teacher and asked for clarification.
