Most courses that you go to cost money. There are however free articles, sites, and work groups all over the internet, and you don't have to travel the world to get them. A course at a local college would be worth the investment if you decide you can spend some money. Perhaps a local High School is running a course.

Well, I'm actually moving there in a month, and all my friends live there. It's a nice city, I guess. There are good areas and bad areas, like everywhere else. The bus system goes everywhere, and it's 2.75 a ride, with transfers that last for 90 minutes. What in particular do you want to know?

But as far as contacting more people, I'd try Facebook. Yeah, yeah, I know, Facebook is evil. But really, it's the best way to connect with people online.
