It depends what you want to do in the long run. The Anglo-Saxon law system is case law which is quite different to what we have here in Switzerland and the surrounding countries. I would check carefully with each university offering law in the UK and then make up your mind. But don't forget, to do your law degree wholly in the UK will not help you much here in Switzerland due to the differing systems. Most likely you will have to to exams and maybe also study here too.

Well, speaking frankly, the best days of the Swiss "hotelierie" schools are over.

In the recent times there were several scandals with HM schools that weren't able to provide even minimal standards of teaching and practice (as read in newspapers). This is a free market with little regulation for the hotel mgmt schools - virtually everyone can open a school.

I have seen a few of very harsh critics in the Net about the SHMS as well, but don't refer to them now, because I'm not sure about their accuracy.

The school fees vary around USD 30 000/year x 2-4 yrs. The costs of living are very high in this country - you'd need at least USD 2000/month.

They would not guarantee you a job upon graduation: there are thousands of the SHM schools alumnee wondering around without any job in sight.

My sister has been in this business for almost 10 years now. She thinks, practical experience - is what really matters.

If you wanna have a nice piece of paper to accelerate your career - sign up with a cheapest hotel school and quickiest course.

If you really want TO LEARN something from the much praised Swiss hotelerie, then better consider an internship, not a school. You'd be even paid for it and some hotels offer free accomodation. The internships are being given on an individual basis, so it is better to contact hotels directly.
