Jean Said:

What's the weather like in Switzerland during November?

We Answered:

Switzerland has high mountains and deep valleys. In November it will probably rain quite a bit in the valleys and snow in the mountains from about 1500 meters up. Temperatures in the towns, in the valleys will be around 3-8 C at night and 8-15 C during the day. If it does not rain, then there probably will be fog in the valleys, and in particular near the lakes.
November is not such a great time to go to Switzerland, or anywhere else in Europe for that matter, it is not warm but it hasn't really snowed yet.
I would stick to indoor activities, like museums, theatres or beer halls. Depending where you are in Eastern Europe, you might alternatively consider a trip to art cities, like Venice or Prague or Munich. I find Swiss towns a bit dull.

For students all over the world: Free higher education..!?

We Answered:

Are you going for your undergrad or grad? How about US? I am from a third world country and I got almost full financial aid from a top 50 university for my undergrad (I only have to pay US$4000 a year which you can take a loan if you can't afford). For graduate studies, there are more funding options such as teaching or research assistanships which pay substantial amount. I am now applying for graduate schools after my undergraduate study.
If you are applying for undergrad, you will have to take the SAT and for grad, the GRE or GMAT depending on your programs. I don't know about education systems in Europe.

Don't know what to study..? Please help!?

We Answered:

You have an interesting and varied background and that may be a big part of the problem.

Take a vocational interest test at a local college and you will find that helpful./

Jacqueline Said:

What country should I study in?! and perhaps settle?

We Answered:

I just got back from studying in Ireland. I absolutely loved it! The country is incredibly beautiful, the cost of living is reasonable compared to other European countries (plus as of lately the Euro has been falling and is predicted to equal our dollar by the end of the year), the people are very friendly, you don't have to worry about learning another language since English is spoken, and overall the quality of life there is great. I would highly recommend studying in Ireland. I also enjoyed Switzerland too, but I love the ocean too much so that's another reason why I chose Ireland.
