Yes. Anyone that is not an American citizen needs the proper visa to study here. Understand that tuition for international students will be dramatically higher that what American students will pay. In most cases you can NOT work in the U.S. while here on a student visa, and once your studies are completed you MUST return to Canada.

Similar rules would apply if an American came to Canada to attend school in your country.
