Study Loans For Students

Jill Said:

I need student loans for students studying internationally. What are some good ones?

We Answered:

Here's FinAid.org's list of loans for international students:

And here's their list of scholarships:

Your best bet for a study abroad loan might be the ISLP loan: http://www.internationalstudentloan.com/…

It's not entirely true that you need to file the FAFSA to gat aid from *any* private financial instutition. There are two reasons why a private loan company might ask for this: (1) many lenders want to see that you exhausted all your options for low-interest Federal Student Aid before they lend you any private aid or (2) many private scholarship [and some loan] companies want to know what your financial need is and since the FAFSA is the only ubiquitous, official way to determine this, they sometimes require the results.

Dave Said:

Do you have to have a program of study to receive student loans?

We Answered:

When you apply for admissions at the community college, just say you are "Undecided" or "University Transfer" or something similar they have listed as an option. Some CC's list this as a "Liberal Arts" major.

yes, you can still get loans to go to school, as long as your classes are college credit classes (not continuing education classes) you will be fine.

Regina Said:

can you tell me about any loans for american students studying outside the USA in Europe?

We Answered:

You can use Sallie Mae for study abroad as long as the program is approved by your school. If no, try the links below or google "study abroad loans". Good luck!

Loans for international students for study in America?

We Answered:

1. Unfortunately, international students cannot be granted any scholarships from colleges and universities in the USA.
2. You have to have a green card to borrow money from banks in here.

The only way is to get a scholarship or a loan in your country. I’m sure there’re many programs that offer students scholarships especially for study abroad. You can work on your English to get qualified for it.

Borrowing money is an option, but I don’t recommend it. But sill, it should work if you choose to do so. International students are not allowed to work legally, but you can work for limited time within the campus only. Or you could work outside school under table. Although this is illegal and you’ll be sent back to your country if you get caught by the immigration, the chance of getting caught is very slim. In fact, a lot of international students work at restaurant, bar, club, etc to survive.

I know there’re so many agencies that help you get into college, but don’t use them. You can save lots of money just by doing all your paper works like visa application, college application and so on yourself.

I wish you the best of luck!

Student loan repayments are not made until the student completes his graduation. This facility helps him to concentrate on his studies and earn some little amount of money while he is studying, but repayment has to start once he finishes his education.
