Study Room Furniture

Jessie Said:

What is an ideal study room to be constructed in a school?

We Answered:

A quite, but inviting room. I visualize comfy chairs, books, light music in the back ground. I could not study sitting at a desk, in total silence.
I picture this room with cocoa browns and hunter greens. It should be a place where those who need quiet are not distracted but those who thrive on background are also benefited. A perfect medium.
Maybe a few desks, over-sized chairs, beanbags, etc..
I would place the study areas apart so as not to distract each other, but within sight of whoever is in charge.

Describe your ideal study room?

We Answered:

I prefer to study at home, so it would be in my house.

The desk would have to be quite big so at least 3 people could sit and read (for group assignments, group study etc).

A small shelf for the textbooks I'd have to use, but also for encyclopedias, dictionaries - etc.

Comfortable chairs.

Preferably a small fridge for my diet coke (I'm an addict) and a coffee maker.

Good lighting is necessary.

Decorations don't really matter much to me - I'm used to cover my walls around me with small notes of facts I need to know - so that's how I decorate. :)

Anna Said:

What colour to paint the walls of my bedroom (which is also my study room)?

We Answered:

Try a brown...that color looks cute with pink or try a Vanilla cream color and make the pillows your pink and brown...Maybe get some new curtains or make some (they're easy to make). Very cute...!! plus it makes it eye opening when studying then you could accessorize your room with accents like pink, brown, black...the color is easy going and make it easy to make your own, plus when you down feel like pink or brown you can go for a different color. At night you'll feel relaxed and clean and that will make you sleepy. Hope Ive helped!

Here's a link to some library furniture. Good luck!

Miriam Said:

In my room I have a desk, but I want some other place to study. What floor furniture would be good?

We Answered:

Before I had my home office, I also had just a desk in my room. I found by putting the desk near a window and having my back to the rest of the room made me feel like I wasn't in my bedroom. I wrote my first three novels this way.

As for floor furniture...get one of those funky chairs that alot of gamers use. Those are comfy and are great to study in! I used to have a bean bag!
