Stephen Said:

AS A RETURNING TO COLLEGE ADULT WHAT SHOULD i STUDY FOR THE BASIC SKILLS TEST?

We Answered:

I studied Math to brush up - it helped immensely!!!!! I was really surprised at all I had forgotten.

Jenny Said:

Government test study skills?

We Answered:

Color code different types of facts with different colors! Like all important people get highlighted with pink, and all important events with green, etc. (: And try rewriting your notes, it gets it into your brain. Good luck!

For a basic computer skills test, what should I study/practice?

We Answered:

find a class in a college near you

Tim Said:

study skills?

We Answered:

talk to yourself, it may sound crazy, but it helps you to remember things.-especially for the language

another way is to write improtant things down as you see them, over and over, until u know it

do not use note cards! after u get used to their format, u get to a point when u think u know it, but it is only because u are associating it with another notecard, which can screw you up during the test!

i also find it helpful to be able to explain the lesson to someone else, because that means u know enough to be the teacher.

most importantly, take a break every hour or so, and get a good rests! :)

Debra Said:

how to help my son study for the computer skills test?

We Answered:

Print out the questions sans answers, then let him have peace in answering it. Or a tutor may be your best bet. If this is as important as you say, a tutor would be worth the time and effort, not to mention the money for him to succeed. It will go great, do not fret. He is a smart kid.

Doris Said:

Where can I find a tutor for an older adult returning to school? Learn study skills for test taking.?

We Answered:

Call your local college and see if they can recommend a tutor. They probably have a list already for their students.
