Study Tips And Tricks

Study Tips, Tricks and Hints?

We Answered:

for tests do the hardest essay question first. this will be the one you had most trouble trying to remember facts for the night before when you studied. also then do the hardest short answer, then do the next essay and short answer, in that order. do the definitions, then fill in the blanks. save multiple choice for last.

when studying vocab write it down over and over. this helps and the more you do it the quicker you will get at it. like write the words eight to ten times each.
always do your homework! save homework and tests to study by. write down on them in red pen what you did wrong and write complements for what you did right.

when you know you have a weakness in one area that you need for another, do independent practice to learn it. for example if you need to know how to add fractions to solve and equation, learn it on your own... if the teacher didnt help you much.

if the teacher teaches you a concept that you dont understand ask them to help you. then if you still dont understand keep working with it own your own. do extra practice until you get it. keep reading the book lesson over and over. put the book aside. come back to it in 2 days. do extra practice problems, in addition to the homework.

its all about knowing how you like to learn and how you learn best, so constatntly think of ways to help yourself learn. if one way doesn't work by the time you want it to, scratch it and start with a new way.
i use these tips to make straight A's.

Can you give me ACT tips, tricks, and study help?

We Answered:

I'm taking the ACT this week too. It sucks that you didn't have time to prepare. I crammed studying in 2 weeks.

Well, there are 5 sections.
English
Math
Critical Reading
Science
+Writing (if your mom signed you up for writing)

check out the official ACT site! There are loads of info.
Unfortunately, your idea of "choose the longer answer, guess C, etc" is NOT legitimate. You will fail this way.

Read everything, get familiar with the directions. I suggest you take the practice test.

go to every tab and time yourself.

How do you study? tips/tricks?

We Answered:

-open your text book
read the chapter/or section
read again and take good notes
-review the notes daily
-make sure your notes are okay
-pay attention in class, and make sure you added class notes to your notes

this works for social studies, science and maybe english

for math
-practice 10-20 problems a day
-ask teacher or parent to review it and check it
-correct the wrong answer

if that not work then ask for a tutor

you also can ask friends, teacher or even your parent how they study
