Please give me some study tips for an exam which is to be held tommorrow!?

We Answered:

please don't stay up late!!!!
you wont be able to do your exam if you are tired
maybe try a revision site such as bbcbitesize (just google it)
or samlearning
i find books don't get into my head
however if you have been to school a lot, and been in a lot of your ICT lessons and do well in them, you should do fine anyway!!!!
good luck :D

So, the heat is on for exams, any study tips?

We Answered:

Really depends on you. You can take 2 approaches

a) Study now before ahead of exams and when time comes, master your material by reviewing it over and over.

b) Study when exams are close. This is the time when you start for the first time and just study and write exam.

Tips: Find quite place with less distractions. If you need music then use your ipod or something to kill other noises. Studying late night? Drink cofee and next day take proper sleep.
Highlight stuff in your notes so when you are reviewing your not revieing details.
Make notes hand written or on computer.
Again, it all depends on what works for you.

Have any Study tips for exams?

We Answered:

proper time management is the key to success in today's world!!! if your exams are not too near then you can prepare a time-table !!! it should be one where-
1) u should give importance to the subjects you are weak in
2) have enough time for revising whatever you studied the whole day, at school or even at home

if your exams are just round the corner then....
1) should not panic and be confident
2) revise everything systematically
3) be regular at your work!!!

if you do this...then you are bound to too good!!!

BEST OF LUCK!!!

Here's a great study tip on Exams or big tests. Any other tips out there?

We Answered:

you perform at your best when your testing environment is closest to your studying environment.
that´s why you get better scores when the test takes place at your school.

get a good night sleep before the test, k?
if it´s a multiple choice question, read all of the choices before answering

get away from coffee, coke.

try to meditate when you get nervous.
if that´s a long test, remember to breath when you´re doing it. it´s really amazing how your breath´s consequence drops when you take a test. without oxygen, you will not function properly.

Study tips for exams?

Okay, forget what the second guy says, don't cheat. I'm a teaching assistant and I had to flunk a guy because he was cheating during an exam. It's never worth it to cheat.

Aside from that, organize yourself. Study for the exams in the order that you'll be taking them, and only study for one at a time. Take a break between studying for different subjects so that you don't get them mixed up.

You need to figure out what kind of learner you are. Are you a visual learner? Then just reviewing your notes should be your first step. Are you an auditory learner? Then as you're reviewing your notes, try reading them out loud, or maybe get a friend and read them to each other. If you're a tactile learner like me, you learn by doing, so instead of just reviewing the notes, it might help to recopy them.

Ask your teachers for review questions, or get review questions out of your textbooks if you can, and do as many as you can. Even if you don't have answer keys, it's useful just to do it.

Before the exam, get plenty of sleep, and make sure to eat breakfast the morning of the exam. You don't need to be in the exam thinking about how tired or hungry you are.

Can anyone give me some study tips for exams ?

We Answered:

First thing first is to know what chapters will be on the exam. (That's one of the most important things)
second thing is to read and take notes on the chapters, even if you have notes already sometimes its best too rewrite and of course re read.
With your chapters: you should read and study one chapter a day.
*Take Breaks* in between, for an hour or so. (Rest your mind)
Eat healthy snacks.
The most important of them all:" Don't over work your mind" relax with your studying.
Hopefully this helps. Good luck with your exam."
"Again this is what works for me and my college exams."

Study tips for exams and tests?

We Answered:

Dear Minniemouse, it sounds like you're having an exam or test coming soon :) best of luck for you! Here are some tips I hope can help you.

1. Start a semester with a "THINGS TO DO" list. Study your module brief well, recognize all the excercises / topics and write them on the list.

2. Get yourself ahead of the topic in class. Do self revision, research and test yourself on it so you don't have experience the blurry moment in class!

3. Repeat / practise the exercises frequently so you won't forget a thing. Remember practice doesn't makes things perfect, it just makes things better!

4. Meet you lecturer regularly and make them feel like you're friends. Perhaps, it sounds like your ***-kissing your lecturer but believe me you'll discover more on how to get high marks on your assignments or you can ever have sneek peek of the exam's questions by just a little conversation!

5. Do and submit your work on time, or better, prior to the due date! Ask for opinion / comment from as many lecturers as you can about you work. You'll have more time to repair your work when you submit earlier than it's supposed to be.

6. Do extra excercises and show them off. Accept comments in professional way and don't forget your thank you so maybe a little appreciation gift!

7. Before the exam / test try to relax yourself. If you have study enough (in other words: if you've apply tips 1 - 6) you don't have to worry a thing! Don't get panic because you'll tend to mess things up and worse, forget all what you've learn.

8. Get enough sleep before the exam / test. Reading notes at the very last minute (in hurry) doesn't really work. It just makes you feel good. Infact you're actually trying to lie to yourself!

9. When you really need to do last minute reading, try this tips: read the notes through, close the book, write anything you can recall from the reading. Do it time and time again. Be careful on choosing your reading topic and choose the important topic only to prevent time-wasting.

10. During the exam, if you think you're panicking out, take a deep breathe (and say a little prayer), take a piece of paper and write the hardest formulas / notes you possibly would forget when you nut out regardless you're gonna need it or not! For there's proverb says "when you nailed the hardest, hard turns easy and easy turns nothing."

I hope the tips works on you when you work on them! Enjoy your "student-moment" because it won't be long before it gone. Perhaps, learning is gonna last forever but the "feeling" will fade and change over time... So, cherish the moment!! :)
