Fernando Said:

What's the best company to apply through for summer study abroad for college students?

We Answered:

If at all possible, apply through your school. They'll have programs that they know are reliable and where the credits will get accepted easily. Independent companies can be really hit-or-miss, and the costs are usually a lot higher because they are for-profit. You might be able to get financial aid as well if you go through the school.

Lots of schools have international campuses where you can register for the summer. I think Miami of Ohio has one in Rome, Georgetown has one in London, etc. and your school should be familiar with these.

Internships will also be a lot less expensive if you go through your school because there will be no "finders fee" and things of that kind. See if your school has a relationship with any large corporation in the area and if they'll take you for the summer.
