Student Pass holder in Singapore and Malaysia is not allow to Work !.only students from Singapore Government University (only 4 ) or 2 Government University in Malaysia allow to work for parts time jobs, and not more than 20 hours weekly. any other school is total not allow to work,even parts time. For Pakistan passport holder, $ 5000.00 Security Deposit is requested by ICA, in order to issue Student pass. it will be return to you Singaporean sponsor after you cancel you pass and return home, with out offence any Local immigration Law. eg. if you work under student pass ( even parts time ), and get " catch " , case send back immediately ,and $ 5000.00 will be forfeited by ICA .To study in any of our Government school, you need to meet the local high standard,by conducts a test by school , limited of seats now ! and $ 6000.00 Education Funds ( non refund ) in cash to MOE. if all the above is okay with you, come to Singapore ( you need to apply VISA ) and search for school.,* you need one Singaporean /PR age 21 above to be you local sponsor to apply student pass *

But I guess in the end it really depends on what you're doing.
Singapore is very successful but limited on some things (due to less land I suppose).
Just research lots of things and follow your heart.
