Bachelor Of Teaching
Amy Said:
Is it better to leave my Teaching Experience/Bachelor's Degree off my resume when applying to a restuarant? We Answered:
I agree with Prairie Girl and I think things have changed over the years, people aren't necessarily expected to work at the same company for 20 years like they did in the past especially when working in a restaurant. I think that you just have to keep trying and eventually you will find the right job and you will get the valuable experience that you need.Melanie Said:
Do they have bachelor of teaching program in Canada? We Answered:
I'm not sure what the difference would be. In BC, the degree you need to teach in a public school would be a Bachelor of Education. Why do you specifically want a Bachelor of Teaching?Jeffery Said:
Does anyone know where i can study for a bachelor of teaching in childhood education near/in brisbane? We Answered:
This is a good goal, we always need more committed teachers. I am a high school teacher and love it. I will give you the same advice as I have been giving my Yr 12 students:All of the universities in QLD offer courses in Education but not all of them are specifically for Early Childhood, in Brisbane you can apply to the main universities I have listed below. I have added a link(s) for you to look at the courses for each university and so you can get the QTAC code for the course(s).
* Queensland University of Techology (QUT) and apply for a Bacehlor of Education (Early Childhood), there are a couple of other courses as well.
* Griffith University and apply for a Primary Education and you then select early childhood while studying
* University of Queensland (UQ) - no specific early childhood but has primary education and you can focus on early childhood in the course.
* University of Sunshine Coast might not be to far either - try the Bachelor of Education or dual degree Bachelor of Early Childhood.
My best suggestion would be QUT and do one of the specific Early Childhood Courses - Bachelor of Early Childhood.
You will need a back up as well - try a TAFE course as your 6th option on your QTAC application - such as Certificate III in Children’s Services or a Diploma of Children’s Services. You can use it to get into a University course later (you also get some credit for the study as well) and you can then work as a child care assistant while you are studying at University.
Just a reminder your QTAC Application is due by the end of the week - so you will need to do this ASAP, you can make changes after you have applied but do the application now.
Good Luck with your career and finishing Yr 12.

Is a teaching certificate or teaching bachelor's degree better? We Answered:
I worked in the childcare field teaching preschool for ten year with only a AA degree. I am now getting my masters in early childhood and not with certification. To be certified teacher you must complete a teacher prep program according to your states regs. usually you need internships and student teaching plus the passing of an exam like the praxis 1 and 2, that s in CT. So really you only need certs. if you want to teach in board of ed K -12. It sounds a little insulting like she wanted better than BA degree but you never know maybe she wasn't being rude at all. Maybe she knew if you were cert. she has to pay alot more.Andrew Said:
What is the best path from 25 years of hotel management experience to a teaching career? (Bachelor's degree)We Answered:
The best thing would be to spend two years on acquiring a teaching qualification like BEd, the basic degree (or equivalent), and then go for teaching! Or, straightaway, with your experience you could try for teaching assignment with institutions that offer course in 'hotel management'! You might also consider NGO's that offer teaching jobs in far flung "backward" areas in their campaign against illiteracy!Marcus Said:
How quick can a Bachelor's in Teaching (elementary studies), be achieved? We Answered:
It depends on what school you go to. It normally takes four years, but you might be able to do it in 3 or 3 in a half years, but that's only if they offer the classes that you want during both spring or fall semester.
