I agree with you. Being a holistic teacher means you are aware of each child as a "whole" and purposefully facilitate learning to all aspects of a child's development.

There is a lot of frustration and downside to teaching. But don't let that scare you away, just take it as a warning that things will not always be storybook perfect. If you love working with young children, there is no better career. It fills your heart with joy to hear one of your students tell their parents how much they love their teacher. Not all will, but even a few are enough to keep you going.

My favorite site- and the one where i had the best results was teachers-teachers.com They list jobs from a variety of areas. I'm in Arkansas- but I saw several jobs posted on the east coast. You're not too late don't worry! I know lots of people who were being hired within two weeks of school starting.
