Deborah Said:

Joe Said:

Are there any summer non-teaching jobs for high school graduates in Seoul, Korea?

We Answered:

There are most likely manufacturing jobs available throughout Korea. Depending on how legal you wish your employment to be, though, you may not have many options open to you unless you are Korean. Many jobs wish to high college graduates, but many of those jobs are of course teaching jobs.
If you are at a loss for what kind of jobs may be available, consider something like a tour guide or hostel worker. They tend to hire English speakers and a hostel would likely have a staff room somewhere for you to sleep. These jobs also tend to be more comfortable hiring people short term, and they don't require a college education like a proof-reader or textbook company might.

Also, have you considered nanny/au pair work. something like the koreaherald (.co.kr) website should also have some english language job listings.

Under the table work is likely also available, but again legality may be an issue there.

There is work anywhere in the world. just depends on what you're willing to do.
