International Teaching Jobs

Carl Said:

anyone know where i can find info about teaching jobs?

We Answered:

The Internet is a good place to start ,but for more information and probably a more legitimate find, go to a college or university and inquire there. Either the English department or employment office at the school should be able to help. Good luck on your new job!

How to find an international teaching english job?

We Answered:

Use the connections that you have. Lots of schools in other countries would rather hire someone referred to them than a random stranger. Let your former overseas colleagues know that you are looking for a job, as well as anyone you've worked with in the US who's now in another country. I've had several employers ready to hire me without even having done a formal application because someone recommended me to them.

How do I get a job teaching in an international school?

We Answered:

There are so many positions available for teachers who want to teach internationally. I have investigated Japan, Australia and other countries. All you need to do is search and ontain information and make a decision. There are many people available to help you through the process. It will take some deep and continuous investigation on your part until you are sure of where you want to go. You can also find others who have gone overseas to teach and learn first hand what their experience was like. IT'S ALL ON LINE.

How do I find out about International teaching jobs for first-year teachers?

We Answered:

Even if you don't want to teach English to Speakers of Other Languages, I bet you learn something at Dave's ESL cafe.

Teaching in Europe can be difficult if you are not from an EU country. Let's face it, there are plenty of British people who speak English and like to travel, and they definitely have an edge over you with laws granting preference to EU citizens.

On the other hand, the North American accent is preferred in Asia. You might check out the JET program in Japan. There are also several "American" schools abroad, or international baccalaureate program schools that might be keen to have someone with an actual teaching degree in their school. I've linked two in Taiwan that have hired people I know. I've also linked a book that I found helpful before I moved abroad.
