Frame probing questions on why water is a universal solvent? We Answered:
what does not dissolve in waterWhy
what will make it unique to make it insoluble.
name the structure.
How many such solvents exist that has similar properties, and be able to dissolve.
Therefore, water is the universal solvent.
Let the student answer the questions and probe in that fashion so that it is clear that water is the universal solvent.

I think it just meant that you're gonna be put under the microscope while you teach. Every little thing you do will be observed and criticized.Joann Said:

Ihave struggled on choosing a degree/career from high school until now- I am 26. The only skills I have gained? We Answered:
Keisha and Tisha are both correct...Some people are singularly focused. They have a passion or a talent and that's all they do their whole life - they are dedicated to that focus. For some of them it earns them a living while for others it's the satisfaction. They "are what they do" type people. Many your age are focused on chasing that passion/dream and haven't actually achieved it yet, many of those will never make it but it's good that they have a dream and try. There are a lot of these sorts of people and our social order is set up to accommodate them pretty well. Many will become discouraged though and give up - they'll wind up working next to this next group but will be bitter about it.
Some people don't have any focus at all. They have no passions, no real interests, no motivations. They just exist to continue existing. To them it doesn't matter what job they have as long as they have one and sometimes they don't care if they have a job at all as long as someone feeds them. You'll find a lot of them waiting tables, cashiers in retail, or cooking food -- because there are a lot of those jobs to be had and they'll hire people that don't have a passion for anything. The expectation is that one day they'll "find themselves" and develop some sort of interest in something. There are a lot of these people too and our society pushes them to make a choice about what they "are going to do with their life" - some do, some don't. These folks often benefit best from some trade/vocational education so that they can earn a living.
Some people (you) have a passion but it's not singularly focused. Their passion isn't within a discipline or vocation but instead it's a passion for learning and knowing. This type will tend to not be able to make up their mind about majors (or jobs) and will often get one of those "impractical degrees" like Liberal Arts. When they're younger society doesn't have a lot of use for them and complains to them about their lack of focus. When they're older (if they maintained that passion enough) we call them scholars, academics, and intellectuals. Some people still have a problem with them because "they think they know everything". You sound like one - if so, then your path is eased by higher education all the way through the PhD but at least a master's. You just don't have to do it all right away and you don't have to do it in "something practical". [these folks aren't suitable for "a job" in the traditional sense - they will fight being restricted to the social norm.]
In order to survive your 20's and lower 30's you'll need one of those "real job" things though because it takes a lot of time to develop into a scholar and academic and you'll want to eat while getting there.
Many pick teaching because it pays reasonably well and it supports continuing to learn strongly. In our case it doesn't matter teaching what or where - the teaching isn't itself the passion.
Others pick journalism (it's harder to get into these days) because it allows a lot of time for research and writing. That "looking up random facts" thing goes along with journalism as does your interest in some adrenalin rush. Add a camera and there's your art. Cover the music and food scenes and there's a couple of your other interests.
You can go to school for the rest of your life - you just have to pick a profession that allows/encourages that sort of interest in continued learning. The learning is your passion, your job simply supports that passion. Ultimately you'll have to work for a college or university (or become an independent scholar) to continue learning because 1) it's expensive and 2) the way learning happens after a certain point isn't by sitting in a classroom and you need academic facility support to do it.
Maybe you should start by teaching small children - that unaccredited Bible college degree may have value to parochial schools. Hunt down some journalism jobs and give it a try - most of them don't care about what your degree was in or from where either, only whether you can write well. Most important, if learning is important to you then you can't be happy working somewhere that the people there aren't so interested in learning, they'll just frustrate you and bring you down. Stay out of table serving, customer service, and food. Besides, those people in the second paragraph up there need those jobs.
