New Jersey Teaching Jobs
Tony Said:
Is Elizabeth city in New Jersey, a good place to live in?We Answered:
Elizabeth is not the best place to be raising a child; there is a high crime rate and i'd venture to say the school system is not very good. there most likely would be a high prospect of a teaching job, however.I don't know your situation with money, but decent towns to live in north new jersey would be the nutley/montclair/belleville area or wayne/pequannock/pompton plains area. You really want to stay away from the union, somerset and camden areas; try for a place in bergen, morris, upper essex, or even passaic county. you should also have no problem finding a teaching job in the above listed towns.
Stella Said:
Can I get a teaching job in New Jersey with only my associates degree? We Answered:
You can't get a job teaching anywhere in the US with an associates degree. You need a bachelor's degree in education and should have completed your time as a student teacher. You may qualify for pre-school or something similar though; they don't require the same certification.

Is it easy to find a teaching job in New Jersey? We Answered:
No, no, no, NO! Especially in elementary. There is actually a surplus of elementary candidates. The teachers are highly paid here, and alot of schools prefer to save money and hire teachers right out of college. However, your credentials might help out in certain districts. Just know that you will face very stiff competition.
