Requirements For Teaching
Barry Said:
what are the requirements for teaching special ed preschool? We Answered:
It does vary depending on what state you live in. As someone who works in a special education preschool, all of our teachers have a master's in special education. In some states it is required to have a degree in special education to teach any children who are classified as needing special education.Robin Said:

What are the requirements for teaching literacy to adults? We Answered:
Try getting in touch with your local Adult Continuing Education group, or the local College. Maybe you could get in touch with the local library? All of these groups could help you get further forward in your plan. There are qualifications you need, but those groups could sponsor you towards that end.If you are looking at this in the longer term, try calling the DEF and talking things through with them. To teach adults, you'd need to get some qualifications - don't be discouraged: some areas need tutors so much they'd take you on first and help you gain them second!

What are the requirements for teaching English in Vietnam? We Answered:
Job requirements in well established English language schools in Ho Chi Minh usually are:- Native English speaker
- BA or MA (a degree essential for Work Permit requirements, but not always required by employers)
- TESL/TEFL Certificate
With this requirements you are looking at a potential salary of 1160 USD - 1500 USD per month for 21-23 hours per week + medical insurance allowance, flight allowance, end of year bonus + 20 working days paid annual leave and an additional 8 paid days off for national holidays.
In order to work legally in Vietnam you will need a visa + a work permit. Schools will often help their teachers with their visas application process and might even cover costs for both visa and work permit.
Although a degree is listed amongst the basic requirements for entry level teaching positions, Vietnam is reported to be one of those few countries where you can still be employed without a degree. However this will largely depend on the employer and their specific job requirements.

what are some of the college requirements for teaching spanish? We Answered:
Well, antes de todo, you can most definitely do it if you are willing to work for it. When I began college I didn't even speaking Spanish except for the little bit I took my seventh grade year. Ahora puedo hablarlo con la fluidez. In college, they basically start the Spanish all over so it doesn't matter really matter how well you speak it. The very first day, they start with the alphabets. Now you'll have to learn at a faster rate than high school (think twice the work in half the time), but it's doable if you'll make the time and effort commitment. After you going through the four semesters of basic spanish, then you move on to your spanish conversation and grammar classes which focus specifically on those two topics. Then you go into your literature classes. As a non-native speaker, I'll admit that it was not easy and that I spent soooo many hours studying and practicing and in study groups discussing. But I walked in to college barely speaking Spanish, and I just graduated two weeks ago with a 3.6 and a Bachelor's of Arts in Spanish, a job offer to be a Spanish teacher in a very good district and I've already passed one of the two state tests to be certified to teach Spanish.
You have to take 36 hours of Spanish. 18 of which will be above your basic level Spanish courses. There's a lot of literature but if you're doing well in your AP classes, you'll be fine. I would recommend that you travel abroad. I did six weeks in Mexico and it was awesome. A bunch of my friends went to Spain and they loved it. Find books, movies and music that you like in Spanish and listen to and watch them over and over and over again.
I think you'll do awesome. You seem like you have the passion. ¡Buena suerte!

What are the requirements for teaching English at a community college? We Answered:
Just for clarification, are you talking about being an English literature professor, or a teacher of English as a Second Language? Also, are you currently working on your B.A.?Anyhow, there are probably slight variations depending on the institution, but generally you should have done post-graduate work in English. You don't need to get a teaching degree (nor do you actually need a degree in which you are teaching, actually - my father teachers Computer Science despite having a degree in Engineering - but I believe this is an exception). Ideally, you should get a PhD in English, although many CC professors only hold a Master's degree.
If there's a specific school you want to work at, you could also try contacting them to learn more about the process. Good luck!
