Resources For Teaching English

Steven Said:

Native English Speaker- teach in Korea ASAP!?

We Answered:

I have a friend who is interested. I have is resume. If you'll PM me with your email address, I'll respond with his resume.

Jackie Said:

What resources would you recommend to teach bilingual French/English children?

We Answered:

These 3 students coming to your school should have some degree of special education as to ensure that they become bilingual, but their education shouldn't separate them from the other students. I would suggest that the students take the same classes as everyone else, but maybe have an extra class or a tutor or something so that their French language skills can improve. For resources, I would recommend language textbooks created for Francophones, with no English in them. Any missing English skills should be bridged just by them going to an English-speaking school.

Earl Said:

Where can I find English learning resources etc.?

We Answered:

Many schools are using YAKiToMe! http://www.yakitome.com to develop recorded text to speech translations of common phrases in different languages. These can be organized in a library in YAKiToMe! and shared in groups with other members of your classroom. The voices are of the highest quality (from AT&T Bell Labs) and are totally free!

I have been a member for 2 years now . It is $20.00 a year. Many things there are free. I used it free for as long as I could, but reliesed that it is much better to pay the $20.00 for reasons such as being able to download the intire little book all at once instead of one page at a time. Well worth the money.

I just love this site, I was able to teach both my grandchildren to read before K using this site and starfall.com
