Make sure you know the discipline procedure and who to call to remove a kid. Tell them you are a fair teacher but you they wont get any respect or fairness from you unless you get it from them. If they waste your time, take their time from them at break, lunch or after school.

Try all the above methods and if they still give you hassle - take a deep breath, open your newspaper and smile at the thought of how much you are getting paid to do nothing!! You already have your education, if they arent prepared to give you the respect you deserve as an adult let alone a teacher then boo sucks to them - you can always give them a wink as you collect your burger from them at the drive through in five years time!!

Well..... as good as London is......it's pretty much the most expensive city on the planet to live in.

Teachers in the UK, particularly those in training, earn a pretty modest salary. That coupled with the government announcement yesterday to drop spending on education by shedding excess staff......it doesn't look good.

You should still train to be a teacher........just do it somewhere cheaper.

You should focus more on areas in the west/southwest side of London, this way you can get more areas you like. There are some areas in the east side but the good ones are more spotty. Perhaps the best way to do it, is to move here and get a place where you can stay weekly or very short term, so you can get more time to explore and decide which areas you like better.
